ITS A TOGS+CLOGS WINTER

Whenever I'm in need of something a little bit specialist for a guy or even some nice accessories for myself,  I head to Togs+Clogs. These images are from the latest AW12 look book 'The Forager'.
Shot in and around Manchester by talented photographer Sven Eselgroth the pictures feature some of the best threads from this seasons offering and also poke a little bit of fun at those in the fashion industry who perhaps take themselves a little bit too seriously (no shortage of them is there now?!)

See more from 'The Forager' and have a browse-

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS...

Christmas wants

....was money, but that was deemed to be 'boring' so I decided to go with stuff I want but would never buy for myself (because realistically if I got money I would probably just spend it going out and getting pissed) I'm way more into beauty products, make-up and treatments than I am clothes at the minute and most of the above have been on my wishlist for quite some time (I am SO excited to be tanned again, yesss) so we have-
Nars Blusher in Orgasm: A cult/bestselling product and apparently in every worthy MUA's kit.
MAC Pro Sculpting Cream: So I may have the appearance of cheekbones one could slice cheese on.
Xen-Tan Absolute Luxe Dark: The best tan money can buy in my opinion.
Essie Nails in Blanc: Love white nails, and it makes the best base to make neon colours pop.
Smashbox Photofinish Primer: This is the only primer I've ever had that actually works for me.
MAC Lipstick in Morange: The pigment in these lipsticks is amazing, and I've struggled to find a better orange shade.

Hope everyone is well underway with their christmas shopping! Mines nearly done only ten days left, and only thirteen days until I jet off to NYC for New Years Eve for 5 nights of epic partying and shopping.

CRAFTY BABE

If you follow me on Instagram (babesdoepicshit) you might have seen some of these pics before. I have been working, slowly but surely, on some new pieces for my jewellery brand Junk&Disorderly. The chain styles are about ready to go up for sale on my site and I am working on some more brightly coloured braided styles. My initial foray into jewellery began with spikes, thick chains and studded styles but I am now experimenting with much more delicate, simplistic pieces.
The styles above have an expensive/luxury feel to them (without the price tag) and they look beaut layered up.

COME TO ME

Untitled #6

Some stuff I'm digging at the moment. I love white nails, this polish by Essie is high on my christmas stocking list, the orange lipstick is from the new Lip Butter range by Revlon and I've scribbled it on myself many a times! I ended up burying the dress (Topshop) so it is on its way to me and white converse I've been after for a while an thanks to a friend of a friends cheeky ASOS discount, they are currently snuggled up on my lap as I ride the peasant wagon home. Not a bad Monday.

EXFOLIATE, HYDRATE, ILLUMINATE

Introducing my winter beauty saviors
Body Shop Vitamin C Cleansing Polish: Gentle enough to use everyday, I use this at night to get off every last scrap of make-up, it also gets rid of dry skin and Vitamin C is great for brightening up a dull complexion.
Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator: Hefty price tag on this, I got it at duty free for £50  (think I was in holiday 'fuck it' mode) but it does work and has helped fade out some of the blemish scars I had. I like to put it on in the morning before moisturizer and give my face a good massage with it for a couple of minutes, doing this really works to brighten and wake up my face, I recommend trying this technique with any illuminator...the way a product is applied can make all the difference.
Clarins HydraQuench Cream Mask: This came as part of a free Clarins gift bag, its amazing, its suppose to be applied for ten mins then wiped off but I usually leave it on longer/forget about it. My skin is usually blemish prone/oily but this doesn't bother it at all so I use it 2-3 times a week since in the winter my forehead and cheeks get a little dry.
L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil: This is my favourite hair product at the moment, I use it when my hair is wet and it dries naturally so soft and smooth. I find argan oil is too heavy for my hair but this is just right and can be used on dry hair to smooth and add shine to coloured hair thats taken a bit of a battering like mine has.
Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream: Another freebie that has become a permanent addition to my handbag. This leaves my hands feeling velvety smooth without being sticky, it soaks in right away and I like to rub it into my cuticles too.

BLACK ON BLACK ON BLACK

I love black clothes. They pretty much take up the majority of my wardrobe. I went for a look in Zara and everything is actually amazing, the thing I like most about Zara is their basics are really good value for money. The leggings set me back £20 I love the gold zip detailing on the pockets and the backs of the legs...they are also REALLY thick (I think they would be classed as treggings but that word makes me shudder) and also a basic black jersey tee is made more interesting with a zip and leather trim (£16)
The belts are from H&M, since I have about fifteen pairs of jeans many belts are a necessity.

KICKS & KNITS

I wore this get up the other day and really liked it, I have had these Topshop jeans for years and love the detailed panelling and exposed zips. I teamed them with just a black loose knit H&M jumper and my new burgundy wooly hat I got from Primark for a mere £3.

JUNK JEWELS

The Pretty Junk are at it again, this time upping the jewellery stakes with the addition of loads of new bang on trend styles of bracelets, chains and earrings. They were kind enough to let me choose a piece and I went for the black (quelle surprise) Hamsa Hand bracelet. Its an eye catching addition to my wrist party and I think that they look a lot pricier than they are. The Pretty Junk are definitely ones to keep an eye on, what began as a unique selection of cool hand picked vintage pieces has grown into a neat offering of cool and quirky brands (including two of my personal favourites- Lazy Oaf and Spell Designs) and even their own range of customised denim cut-offs and dip dyed cotton basics. Good things 'a happening here.....

SHIRTS, SHADES, STUDS

Hello friends, I have been trawling the high street over the last few weeks for some holiday bargains and I present to you my findings. From top to bottom-
Tee: Topshop £22
Shirt: Primark £8
Sunglasses: Asos £10//Topshop £16
Clutch: Primark £6
My favourite find is the bag, there is an almost identical one for sale in Topshop for £38. I came out with the shirt at the same time too and I have to say for Primark it is pretty damn good.

NECESSITIES

iPhone case: Eastpak x Wood Wood

Been a slow day but I thought I would share my new iPhone case. American backpackers Eastpak have joined up with Danish streetwear brand Wood Wood for a North American nomad inspired collection that includes messengers, holdalls, totes and cases. My phone was taking a battering in my handbag but I hadn't seen any cases I liked (was originally in the market for a steel chrome cover but I heard they can upset the signal) I went for a case because I prefer my iPhone au naturale, and at least this way its not getting all scratched up in my bag! The case itself is a lovely buttery soft tan leather that I reckon will look even better when its started to get a bit weathered. I got mine from my friends at Togs+Clogs where they will be available to buy soon.

SWEATS & SEPARATES

Vest & Skirt: Topshop// Sweater: Adidas Slvr// Trainers: River Island
Sunglasses: No idea, they just appeared in my car one day// Razor Blade: Junk&Disorderly// Crystal Chain: Vintage

Jersey separates make up a good half of my wardrobe, I suppose they are what I would call my staple item of clothing. Its been pretty warm recently so I've had my pins out quite a bit but to combat chilly mornings I have been throwing a big jumper over most of my outfits which is why I love this grey one by Adidas Slvr, its a mens so its oversized and relaxed without (I hope) looking too scruffy! I have found that with a rail full of jersey there is a fine line between minimal chic and pyjama/bag lady.

SHADY BITCH

These are nice.....

So are these....
ASOS £10

I love the House of Harlow Carmen sunglasses but the price tag is way out of my budget. So I was pleasantly surprised to see an almost exact replica pair on ASOS for a sound tenner. I usually go for an aviator style, but I fancied something different and these have just enough of a directional edge without being too over the top.

PURCHASES

Belts: Primark £3 each//Jeans: Topshop £20

Bustier, skirt & vest: Missguided

Some of my recent purchases here, got mad love for Primark belts I have loads, and the jeans were a no-brainer sale purchase in Topshop. I made my first order from Missguided.co.uk, one lazy sunday afternoon whilst browsing the net I panicked that I didn't have any clothes to wear in Vegas next month, and ended up with the black vest, which isn't the problem, the problem is the spiked bralet (I commonly express my dislike for bra-tops) and a sickly bright aztec print bodycon skirt, don't get me wrong because if I saw these on a blog I would love them and on the model on Missguided I thought they looked so good. I just have no idea what I'm going to wear them with so stay tuned for an outfit post of me looking like a right tit in sin city.....it's gonna be impressive.

P.S Missguided offer free next day shipping on orders over only £35 which is class to be fair and I am going to order some more of the vests too because they are the perfect amount of slouchy, soft, side-boobness (yes that's a thing)

LAST NIGHT

Went out with work and busted out them Zara camo prints, I reckon these pants have gotta be dressed up a bit or it's all going to go a bit military store/90's girl band which frankly would be pretty shit so I wore then with a strappy side boob vest (it's the new cleavage don't you know) and some black ankle boots.
