ITS A TOGS+CLOGS WINTER

Whenever I'm in need of something a little bit specialist for a guy or even some nice accessories for myself,  I head to Togs+Clogs. These images are from the latest AW12 look book 'The Forager'.
Shot in and around Manchester by talented photographer Sven Eselgroth the pictures feature some of the best threads from this seasons offering and also poke a little bit of fun at those in the fashion industry who perhaps take themselves a little bit too seriously (no shortage of them is there now?!)

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS...

Christmas wants

....was money, but that was deemed to be 'boring' so I decided to go with stuff I want but would never buy for myself (because realistically if I got money I would probably just spend it going out and getting pissed) I'm way more into beauty products, make-up and treatments than I am clothes at the minute and most of the above have been on my wishlist for quite some time (I am SO excited to be tanned again, yesss) so we have-
Nars Blusher in Orgasm: A cult/bestselling product and apparently in every worthy MUA's kit.
MAC Pro Sculpting Cream: So I may have the appearance of cheekbones one could slice cheese on.
Xen-Tan Absolute Luxe Dark: The best tan money can buy in my opinion.
Essie Nails in Blanc: Love white nails, and it makes the best base to make neon colours pop.
Smashbox Photofinish Primer: This is the only primer I've ever had that actually works for me.
MAC Lipstick in Morange: The pigment in these lipsticks is amazing, and I've struggled to find a better orange shade.

Hope everyone is well underway with their christmas shopping! Mines nearly done only ten days left, and only thirteen days until I jet off to NYC for New Years Eve for 5 nights of epic partying and shopping.

CRAFTY BABE

If you follow me on Instagram (babesdoepicshit) you might have seen some of these pics before. I have been working, slowly but surely, on some new pieces for my jewellery brand Junk&Disorderly. The chain styles are about ready to go up for sale on my site and I am working on some more brightly coloured braided styles. My initial foray into jewellery began with spikes, thick chains and studded styles but I am now experimenting with much more delicate, simplistic pieces.
The styles above have an expensive/luxury feel to them (without the price tag) and they look beaut layered up.

COME TO ME

Untitled #6

Some stuff I'm digging at the moment. I love white nails, this polish by Essie is high on my christmas stocking list, the orange lipstick is from the new Lip Butter range by Revlon and I've scribbled it on myself many a times! I ended up burying the dress (Topshop) so it is on its way to me and white converse I've been after for a while an thanks to a friend of a friends cheeky ASOS discount, they are currently snuggled up on my lap as I ride the peasant wagon home. Not a bad Monday.

EXFOLIATE, HYDRATE, ILLUMINATE

Introducing my winter beauty saviors
Body Shop Vitamin C Cleansing Polish: Gentle enough to use everyday, I use this at night to get off every last scrap of make-up, it also gets rid of dry skin and Vitamin C is great for brightening up a dull complexion.
Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator: Hefty price tag on this, I got it at duty free for £50  (think I was in holiday 'fuck it' mode) but it does work and has helped fade out some of the blemish scars I had. I like to put it on in the morning before moisturizer and give my face a good massage with it for a couple of minutes, doing this really works to brighten and wake up my face, I recommend trying this technique with any illuminator...the way a product is applied can make all the difference.
Clarins HydraQuench Cream Mask: This came as part of a free Clarins gift bag, its amazing, its suppose to be applied for ten mins then wiped off but I usually leave it on longer/forget about it. My skin is usually blemish prone/oily but this doesn't bother it at all so I use it 2-3 times a week since in the winter my forehead and cheeks get a little dry.
L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil: This is my favourite hair product at the moment, I use it when my hair is wet and it dries naturally so soft and smooth. I find argan oil is too heavy for my hair but this is just right and can be used on dry hair to smooth and add shine to coloured hair thats taken a bit of a battering like mine has.
Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream: Another freebie that has become a permanent addition to my handbag. This leaves my hands feeling velvety smooth without being sticky, it soaks in right away and I like to rub it into my cuticles too.

BLACK ON BLACK ON BLACK

I love black clothes. They pretty much take up the majority of my wardrobe. I went for a look in Zara and everything is actually amazing, the thing I like most about Zara is their basics are really good value for money. The leggings set me back £20 I love the gold zip detailing on the pockets and the backs of the legs...they are also REALLY thick (I think they would be classed as treggings but that word makes me shudder) and also a basic black jersey tee is made more interesting with a zip and leather trim (£16)
The belts are from H&M, since I have about fifteen pairs of jeans many belts are a necessity.
