AUF WIEDERSEHEN

My Dream Team Queen B Rachel and I

I don't know if I've mentioned it on here yet but I'M MOVING TO CANADA ON FRIDAY. Exciting times ahead but sadly that meant leaving my much loved colleagues at Northern Lights Agency where I have worked for the past two and half years :'-(  So on wednesday I was treated to some lovely leaving presents and an amazing leaving dinner at Restaurant Bar & Grill in Manchester.

I really liked my outfit but didn't take any proper photos (trust me if I had better ones I would put them up but for now please enjoy the view of our toilets) so yeah, on paper, white vest and white blazer doesn't sound great but when I had them on together I loved the look, I've had this blazer for two years,  its really old Primark and this is the first time I've worn it (Its now in my immediate jacket choices) Wore with Zara heels and H&M coated skinny trousers

UPGRADE

Another sinfully boring day outfit post from yours truly, sorry! I am without a doubt, and always will be a t-shirt and jeans kinda girl. But I'm trying to step it up a gear and I think these necklaces do the trick quite nicely. Rhinestone, crystal and chain necklaces are pretty trendy right now on the highstreet so its easy enough to get your paws on them. I got mine from a vintage shop in Hebden Bridge called Lucy & the Caterpillar they were around £15 each and are from around the 1950's which I think is pretty cool. I appreciate that they are unique and they layer together perfectly. I'm wearing t-shirt and belt from Primark, my jeans and boots were bought in the River Island sale.

EVOLVE

Yeess yeess camo is still big for the ladies, but for summer choose your prints wisely. If like me, you're in your mid twenties (WHYGODWHY!) and don't fancy looking like a Rihanna-wannabe trendy tween.. then steer clear of the same 'ol tired looking surplus jackets (I'm talking about the ones they piss out in Topshop for three times the price of what they should be) I'm well into this cotton shirt from Carhartt womens SS13, lightweight and perfect for the warmer months I would throw this on over a white singlet or wear buttoned up to the top with some black skinny jeans. If they did this in a short sleeve too I'd be all over it.

SWEATPANT LUXE

Who else wishes they could leave the house everyday in joggers? Without looking like a scruff? Thanks to the lovely gold zip detail and tapered cuffs on these bad boys from Primark I can be impossibly comfy AND smart (not gonna lie though, probs still going to wear them with trainers)

BRING IT, SUMMER.

Playsuit: Spell and The Gypsy Collective from The Pretty Junk//Parka: Ark Clothing

I was freezing my arse off in these pics but I HAD to do a post on my new playsuit from The Pretty Junk. It's by an amazing Australian brand called Spell and The Gypsy Collective who encompass all that is bohemian and beautiful. I usually don't go for the hippy princess look but what drew me to this was the unique print, the fit and the detail which are things that I appreciate in all styles of clothing. I've had so many badly fitting playsuits but this is a dream to wear! I'm moving to Canada in a couple of weeks where they actually have proper summers so I can't wait to wear it, for now I'll be teaming it with tights and a knit.

WAH HYPE

Wah Nails Book:Amazon//Models Own x Wah Nail Art Pen:Boots
I've been lucky enough to have my nails did by the WAH girls a couple times in Berlin at the Bread&Butter trade show so when I found out they had a book I purchased right away. Nail art has blown up in the last couple of years and in my opinion, Wah Nails is the company at the forefront of the boom in the UK. The book has step by step instructions on how to do 25 of their most popular designs making them relatively easy to do (you have to have a steady hand for some but practice makes perfect) I went for the leopard print and I used the Wah x Models own black nail art pen which is really simple to use, definitely worth a buy if you want to have a go. What do you guys think!?

PLAIN AWESOME

Two of my recent treats from the accessories and footwear departments. These Zara sandals are the closest I can find to the Saint Laurent Jane shoes. The majority of my shoes are black ankle boots so I can't wait to wear these proper lady like heels. I finally decided to invest in a pair of designer sunglasses too, RayBan Cats 5000 has always been my favoured style. I suit an aviator shape best but the classic gold/silver frames are a little over played. The Cats 5000 style has more of a masculine look, is more lightweight and I really like the subtle tortoise pattern.

C IS FOR CARHARRT

So I'm sure everyone knows by now that varsity jackets are big news for the girls this spring/summer. I've seen them on sale in most high street stores and online. I've been after this Carharrt one for some time now, since it wasn't available in store anymore I had been waiting for someone to sell a small on eBay and lo and behold some random guy decided he didn't want his anymore and I got it for £30 (ahem, unworn, its like new. amaze) I'm wearing it here with my Siwy jeans and a plain white H&M vest.

MEOW

Nothing like a bit of summer outfit gridding. I picked up these leopard print runner shorts for £4 last week during my Primark rampage. I'm really looking forward to summer, and shorts and trainers are my faves. I rarely wear prints/colour but when I do I always keep the rest of my outfit nice and simple.

WEEKENDER

Jumper:Primark//Jacket:Topshop//Treggings:Zara//Boots:Topshop//Sunglasses:Rayban

Ran some errands on Saturday and since the weather was perfect (cold enough to dress for winter, but sunny enough for shades) I decided to have a go at an outfit post. Don't really do them because there is nowhere decent in my house and the lighting always looks shit. But now its staying lighter into the evenings and I can go outside I will try more often. The only thing I have to say about this outfit is that that knit jumper cost me five pounds, FIVE ENGLISH POUNDS, couldn't quite believe it. I mean it was only suppose to be £15 in Primark but had been marked down to a fiver..I thought the fit and quality would be really bad but when I got home and tried it on it was great. They had loads so I'm going to go back and buy it in a couple of other colours.
