LATE OFF THE MARK

Well hello there from sunny Vancouver, I guess this is my first post since moving across the pond but its a bit of a cheat because I took these in the UK for an outfit post but never got round to putting them up, so here is how I styled those bargain sport-luxe style trousers I posted about a few weeks ago, I love that old sports jersey style number tops are everywhere right now they are perfect for throwing on and so comfortable.

Anyyyway, I arrived halfway round the world about two weeks ago (hence why my blog has been so quiet) I spent a week in Canada's capital- Ottawa and took a short trip to Montreal then came to Vancouver last sunday. I'm starting to settle in now so stay tuned in for upcoming posts and thanks for still following and supporting my blog folks!

UPGRADE

Another sinfully boring day outfit post from yours truly, sorry! I am without a doubt, and always will be a t-shirt and jeans kinda girl. But I'm trying to step it up a gear and I think these necklaces do the trick quite nicely. Rhinestone, crystal and chain necklaces are pretty trendy right now on the highstreet so its easy enough to get your paws on them. I got mine from a vintage shop in Hebden Bridge called Lucy & the Caterpillar they were around £15 each and are from around the 1950's which I think is pretty cool. I appreciate that they are unique and they layer together perfectly. I'm wearing t-shirt and belt from Primark, my jeans and boots were bought in the River Island sale.

My only purchase in the sales this season was these bad boys, they were £30 marked down from £70 in River Island. 

KICKS & KNITS

I wore this get up the other day and really liked it, I have had these Topshop jeans for years and love the detailed panelling and exposed zips. I teamed them with just a black loose knit H&M jumper and my new burgundy wooly hat I got from Primark for a mere £3.

Jersey separates make up a good half of my wardrobe, I suppose they are what I would call my staple item of clothing. Its been pretty warm recently so I've had my pins out quite a bit but to combat chilly mornings I have been throwing a big jumper over most of my outfits which is why I love this grey one by Adidas Slvr, its a mens so its oversized and relaxed without (I hope) looking too scruffy! I have found that with a rail full of jersey there is a fine line between minimal chic and pyjama/bag lady.

LOVE HATE

When the Isabel Marant wedge trainers first came out I hated them with a passion, like reeallly hated them, I used to literally snarl at the computer screen whenever I would scroll past a photo of them, and then this happened...cue Elle Ferguson, top dog visual merchandiser and all round uber aussie babe (who I have blogged about before) instagram-ing her fine self and rocking the black pair in a way I can totally get on board......

Still not sure how I feel about them I want to try and get some low-slung skinny jeans like Elles Bassike pair, I think I'm gonna check out Topman for a cheap pair.

OOTD: MINTY FRESH GOODNESS

I GOT THESE JEANS ON FRIDAY FROM RIVER ISLAND, THEY WERE ON SALE FOR £20 AND ARE THE PERFECT SHADE OF MINT GREEN, I REALLY LOVE ALL THE PASTEL AND NEON COLOURED DENIM ABOUT AT THE MOMENT AND I DID THINK ABOUT SPLASHING OUT ON SOME PRICIER, BETTER QUALITY ONES BUT REALISTICALLY I'LL PROBABLY WEAR THESE TO DEATH THROUGH THE SUMMER THEN BIN THEM OFF WHEN WINTER ROLLS BACK AROUND, AND I CAN GET SOME MORE COLOURS IF I KEEP IT CHEAP!

I HAVENT BOUGHT ANYTHING FROM RIVER ISLAND FOR AGES BUT I GOT A VOUCHER FOR CHRISTMAS SO I NIPPED IN THE MANCHESTER STORE THE OTHER DAY, THE SALE IS RIDICULOUS I COULDN'T BE ARSED WITH IT HOWEVER THE FIRST DROP OF S/S12 STUFF IS LOOKING GOOD. I CHOSE THIS SKIRT BECAUSE I THINK I NEED TO START ADDING SOME PRINTS TO MY WARDROBE, EVERYTHING I OWN IS BLACK! IT'S ALSO VERSATILE, I PLAN TO WEAR IT WITH A COOL CROPPED TEE/JERSEY VEST FOR CASUAL AND MAYBE DRESS IT UP AT NIGHT BY WEARING MY AMERICAN APPAREL TANK LEOTARD UNDERNEATH (GET ONE, IT WILL TAKE YOU EVERYWHERE) AND HEELS.
