SWEATPANT LUXE

Who else wishes they could leave the house everyday in joggers? Without looking like a scruff? Thanks to the lovely gold zip detail and tapered cuffs on these bad boys from Primark I can be impossibly comfy AND smart (not gonna lie though, probs still going to wear them with trainers)

PLAIN AWESOME

Two of my recent treats from the accessories and footwear departments. These Zara sandals are the closest I can find to the Saint Laurent Jane shoes. The majority of my shoes are black ankle boots so I can't wait to wear these proper lady like heels. I finally decided to invest in a pair of designer sunglasses too, RayBan Cats 5000 has always been my favoured style. I suit an aviator shape best but the classic gold/silver frames are a little over played. The Cats 5000 style has more of a masculine look, is more lightweight and I really like the subtle tortoise pattern.

C IS FOR CARHARRT

So I'm sure everyone knows by now that varsity jackets are big news for the girls this spring/summer. I've seen them on sale in most high street stores and online. I've been after this Carharrt one for some time now, since it wasn't available in store anymore I had been waiting for someone to sell a small on eBay and lo and behold some random guy decided he didn't want his anymore and I got it for £30 (ahem, unworn, its like new. amaze) I'm wearing it here with my Siwy jeans and a plain white H&M vest.

ALL BLACK EVERYTHING

Love all black outfits so much, to me all these ladies look impeccable. My favourite is the look with the fur coat on top.

Sorry I don't have the individual image sources for these photos they are all from Pinterest

STAY GOLD

Rings £3.99/ Clutch £9.99/ Shirt £14.99/ all H&M
Bracelet by Junk&Disorderly
Gold Watch by LTD Watches

This was the top half of an outfit I wore last weekend, to say the H&M gear came up under £30 is ridiculous, I often think that there is a lot of crap out on the high street but then I will come across really affordable and versatile pieces to add to my wardrobe that I know I won't get bored of. Bargain fashion certainly does not have to be disposable.

BLACK ON BLACK ON BLACK

I love black clothes. They pretty much take up the majority of my wardrobe. I went for a look in Zara and everything is actually amazing, the thing I like most about Zara is their basics are really good value for money. The leggings set me back £20 I love the gold zip detailing on the pockets and the backs of the legs...they are also REALLY thick (I think they would be classed as treggings but that word makes me shudder) and also a basic black jersey tee is made more interesting with a zip and leather trim (£16)
The belts are from H&M, since I have about fifteen pairs of jeans many belts are a necessity.

PAINT IT BLACK

SOME OF MY JEWELLERY WAS STARTING TO TARNISH SO I DECIDED TO CHANGE ITS COLOUR WITH MATTE BLACK SPRAY PAINT TO SEE WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE!
I ALSO FOUND SOME OLD SUNGLASSES AND THIS SPIKED BRACELET I NEVER WEAR CAUSE I'M NOT REALLY INTO SILVER ANYMORE...SO I SPRAYED THOSE TOO.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS, PLEASE DO IT OUTSIDE AND ON SOME OLD PAPER IT MAKES MORE OF A MESS THAN YOU WOULD PROBABLY ANTICIPATE.

A REVIEW: THE QUIET RIOT TEMPEST TOTE

I THINK WE'VE ALL HAD A BIT OF A DROOL OVER A CERTAIN CELINE BAG GOING AROUND ON THE BLOGGERSPHERE, CAN'T EVEN SCROLL DOWN A PAGE ON TUMBLR WITHOUT SEEING THE BLOODY THING. THIS TAKE ON THAT PARTICULAR BAG COMES FROM SINGAPORE BASED WEBSITE THE QUIET RIOT. MY BOYFRIEND GOT IT ME FOR CHRISTMAS BUT BECAUSE OF THE SHIPPING TIME AND ITS ALSO BEEN WAITING IN THE POST OFFICE SINCE THE 4TH OF JAN I ONLY GOT IT THE OTHER DAY HAHA!

SO ITS NOT A TOTAL DIRECT COPY, BECAUSE WELL THAT WOULD BE NAUGHTY, BUT IT DOES HAVE THE SIMILAR FEATURES THAT MAKE IT A NICE LOOKING THING- ITS A GOOD SIZE, OPENS OUT WIDE AND IS NICE AND ROOMY INSIDE WITH A ZIP POCKET ON ONE SIDE AND A POUCH ON THE OTHER. THE EXTERIOR IS VERY SOFT PU LEATHER AND INTERIOR IS FAUX VELVET SUEDE. IT HAS 5 METAL STUDS ON THE UNDERSIDE TOO.

IT COST AROUND $50 AND THE SHIPPING COST ALMOST AS MUCH AS THE BAG!! SO I WAS SLIGHTLY ANNOYED WHEN I SAW ON THE POSTAGE LABEL $14USD...HMMM. ALTHOUGH I DON'T MIND SINCE IT WAS A PRESENT I WOULD DEFINITELY TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION SHIPPING CHARGES BEFORE BUYING FROM THIS SITE AGAIN.

I GOT MINE HERE FOR ABOUT £6, HAD TO WAIT FOR IT TO COME FROM THE U-S THOUGH, IF YOU CAN'T WAIT, IT'S AVAILABLE IN BOOTS FOR £11.25.

DIY SPIKE CLUTCH

P1070202

DEAD EASY THIS
GET:
1.A PLAIN CLUTCH BAG (CHARITY SHOPS ARE IDEAL)
2.SCREW BACK SPIKES, I GOT MINE OFF THIS GUY
3.DRILL
4.RULER
5.COMPASS OR SOMETHING SHARP TO MARK THE BAG

-USE THE RULER TO LINE UP THE SPIKES OR CREATE YOUR PATTERN, TAKE YOUR TIME, YOU WANT THEM TO BE STRAIGHT.

-TAKE THE COMPASS OR SHARP THING AND MARK THE BAG UNDER WHERE YOU HAVE PLACED THE STUDS, GIVE IT A GOOD STAB 'CAUSE YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE MARK, DON'T STAB YOURSELF.  THIS TAKES A WHILE SO BE PATIENT.

-DRILL HOLES THROUGH THE BAG WHERE YOU HAVE MADE YOUR MARKS, MAKE SURE YOU ARE DRILLING ONTO A SURFACE YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT, SO NOT YOUR PARENTS KITCHEN TABLE. I USED AN OLD BOOK TO REST ON. (ITS BETTER IF THE DRILL HOLES ARE SMALLER THAN THE SPIKE SCREW, YOU DONT WANT THE HOLES TO BE TOO BIG)

-PUSH THE BACKS OF THE SPIKES THROUGH THE HOLES, I HAD TO USE A BIT OF FORCE, AND I ALSO USED NAIL SCISSORS TO WIDEN THE HOLES FROM THE OTHER SIDE.

I DID TAKE PHOTOS TO GO WITH THIS DIY BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD AND THEY WEREN'T NEEDED. ALSO I FEEL REALLY ILL TONIGHT AND I WAS GETTING REALLY STRESSED OUT TRYING TO MAKE THE PHOTOS GO WHERE I WANT THEM HAHA! BUT I REALLY WANTED TO PUT THIS FIRST POST UP ANYWAY SO HERE 'TIS.
