Went out with work and busted out them Zara camo prints, I reckon these pants have gotta be dressed up a bit or it's all going to go a bit military store/90's girl band which frankly would be pretty shit so I wore then with a strappy side boob vest (it's the new cleavage don't you know) and some black ankle boots.

When the Isabel Marant wedge trainers first came out I hated them with a passion, like reeallly hated them, I used to literally snarl at the computer screen whenever I would scroll past a photo of them, and then this happened...cue Elle Ferguson, top dog visual merchandiser and all round uber aussie babe (who I have blogged about before) instagram-ing her fine self and rocking the black pair in a way I can totally get on board......

Still not sure how I feel about them I want to try and get some low-slung skinny jeans like Elles Bassike pair, I think I'm gonna check out Topman for a cheap pair.

I like the way these mens brands have styled up the ladies with their collections for this summer and upcoming autumn/winter. New Yorks 10.Deep and Parisian label Brooklyn We Go Hard showin' love to the ladies gets a thumbs up from me. I love the polka dot BWGH shirt, on the look out for something similar.

ZARA TREAT

I got my camo jeans from Zara and I'm pretty impressed with them, they will certainly do while I can't shell out for the Textile E&J ones. The gold stud detailing is nice but a couple have fallen off although you can't tell so I can live with it. I also just thought I'd mention that the packaging Zara use for online purchases is really smart. You can sort of see in the top picture, I don't usually expect such high quality from a high street store and it's nice touches like this that often make me go back for more.

Took these throughout the week so I can start doing more outfit posts, but being the shithouse that I am I forgot to post them. The weather has been pretty good recently and I'm quite enjoying shorts at the moment, paired with my signature vest-tucked-down-the-front-of-my-pants look. I'm sure it will be freezing next week so i'll be back in boring old jeans, I'm stuck in a bit of a shall we say 'style rut' at the  moment which I hate, I think that I dress really boring compared to most bloggers which is why I usually avoid outfit posts. I don't really understand why anyone would be interested to see what I'm wearing! but hey ho start as you mean to go on so I will continue posting and maybe it will inspire/encourage me to put something decent on.

The Textile Elizabeth and James look book for AW12 did its rounds on the bloggersphere back in May, the camo print jeans were my favourites out of the collection and I made it my mission to own a pair. However after the realisation that they were probably going to cost upwards of £150, my crappy bank balance, and growing impatience at waiting for them to drop into stores, I decided to do the smart thing and go for the pair from the Zara TRF range coming in at a rather irresistible £29.99. They kept selling out online but I managed to get a pair last week so look out for a little review/outfit post on those bad boys.

Just a few snippets of what I have been up to recently, I know I have been neglecting my blog AGAIN, I'm rubbish, but I've been feeling more inspired of late so I have lots of post ideas. I also got a new phone, an iPhone which is making my life so much easier since, I'm actually posting from it now hence the lack of capital letter writing style I usually go for but I think I like this better because it feels like I'm not SHOUTING AT YOU ALL anymore! If you follow my instagram @babesdoepicshit you might have seen the above photos before but if not its basically some dreadful nail art, my cat enjoying this short bout of amazing weather, a nice little work space I created for myself, new running shoes and me in an old proper NFL jersey I got in Canada when I was 12 that fits perfect now, I love it, it reminds me of the Isabel Marant numbered jerseys!
